FLORAL SYMPATHY CARD

My friend from high school lost her mother to cancer.  I made this card to send to her. I got my inspiration from 2 challenges.  DIE CUTTING DIVAS are having an April Sketch Challenge and BBTB2 are having a Spring Flower Challenge.  I used the Cricut cartridge "Florals Embellished."The base paper is Core'dinations, the floral is Authentique and the rest is DCWV.  I used 3 Girl Jam ribbon for the three stripes on the sketch.  The sentiment banner, sentiment and circle die are all My Creative Time.

ANOTHER SYMPATHY CARD

My Sister-in-laws father passed away last week.  I made this card for her using Florals Embellished.  The patterned papers are from K&Company, the solid glitter papers ar DCWV.  Double Click Connections are having a Skittle Challenge where you hace to use a bow, button or brad.  The ribbon is from this cute new store in Niles CA, called Gorgeous Bits.  

BUTTERFLY IN A TEAR DROP

I made this card for a sketch challenge at DIE CUTTING DIVAS.  I used papers by Embelish and  scraps from my stash.  The cut is Cricut "Florals Embellished" .  I added a metal butterfly (I think it is Recollections)  The pink flowers are K&Company. The banner and sentiment are MCT Fun Vertical Greetings and Trio Stitched Banner Dies.

FCCB GUEST DESIGNER-PAPER FUN

WOW- was I thrilled when Heather from FCCB asked me to be a guest designer.  I look forward to seeing what the new challenges are each week.  This weeks challenge is "Paper Fun".  For this challenge you need to use at least one patterned paper and one Cricut cut.
Recently I purchased a few Embellish paper pads at Jo-Ann's.  I used Plantin Schoolbook for the circle and square.  The tea cup is from Love You A Latte.  I cut the flowers in various sizes from Flower Shoppe.  I inked them with Colorbox Chalk ink, then turned them over, sprayed them with water and shaped them with a stylis.  The yellow seeds in the middle are fro Heartfelt Creations.  The MOM is from Florals Embellished.  The inside label is Spellbinders and the sentiment is from My creative Time.

PHRASE MOTHERS DAY CARD

I have been wanting to make a card with a phrase on it  Florals Embellished has many Mothers day sentiments to choose from.  I the embossed the sentiment and solid background using Cuttlebug with Swiss dots and Once upon a Princess embossing folders.  The floral flower was cut using a My Creative Time die.  I won the ribbon from my friend Karen atLITTLE SCRAP PIECES.  The embellishment in the middle of the flower is a purple skittle from my friend Carrie from.DOUBLE CLICK CONNECTIONS.  The solid paper is Core'dinations.  The floral paper and brad are from Kathy Davis.

FLORAL BIRD MOTHERS DAY CARD

Hello.  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  I am so far behind from being sick for 2 weeks.  But I did have time to finish this card for my mom for mothers day.  I used Florals Embellished for the bird. The die and sentiment are from My Creative Time.  I used Stickles on some of the flowers and Martha Stewart glitter on others.  The background paper is K&Company, the rest is Colorbok.  I Used  Versa Mark chalk ink for all of the edges.  The ribbon is from Walmart.

PRETTY PASTEL FLOWER

I made this card for a friend at works birthday.  It fits two challenges.  LITTLE SCRAP PIECES is having a May Flowers challenge.  Also, DIE CUTTING DIVAS is having a pastel challenge. The colors are so light it was hard to photograph.  I used Florals Embellished.

ANOTHER BIRDIE CARD

My home is decorated with bird decorations.  I love making bird cards.  for this one I used Florals Embellished.  Instead of cutting all of the little pieces, I used miscellaneous gems and a googlie eye. I used Kathy Davis Paper for the main part of the card.  The sentiment on the paper says "Create a Life you Love"  I made a ribbon rosette for the center of the flower.

Purple and Green, Non Halloween, Card

Cooking with Cricut CWC is having a purple and green challenge with sketches for a card or layouts.  They suggested making a card for Mother in Law Day.  Unfortunately my beautiful MIL passed away 5 years ago.  So I made a card for my daughter who needs cheering up.  She is away in Arizona at school and she got in a car accident.  She is ok, but shaken up.  It's hard when they are far away.  I am on my second pad of K&Company's Poppyseed collection.  The borders and stickers are so pretty

I made a sympathy card to send to my cousin.  (My uncle passed away last week)  I have one more to make for my other cousin.   I used "Florals Embellished"  I find it is easier to work with this cartridge when the cuts are large.  There are lots of layers.

Butterfly Birthday Card

I am really enjoying exploring my newest cartridge "Floral Embellished.  Each cut has a lot of layers.  It is easier with a 2" or larger cut.  For this butterfly there was supposed to be a layer on top of the lavender, but it tore when I took it off my new mat.  So no worries, I just embossed the lavender layer and kept on going. Then the antennae fell off on one side, so I used wire.  What I thought was going to be a disaster, turned out pretty good
