DL.ART Thankful Thursday Mothers Day Challenge

Mothers day is quickly approaching.  Diana at DL.ART  is having Mothers Day be the theme of her Thankful Thursday Challenge.  Of course you can submit a Thank you card as an alternative.  For this swing style card, I used Lavender from Spring Bundle 1.  I love the spring ribbon colors-they are so bright and cheery.  Diana offers my readers 10% discount-just use the code K34510 at check out.
For the base of the card I used an Anna Griffith die set that I recently purchased from HSN.  I added a gold label , flourish and sentiment from the same kit.  The papers are Colorbok Pearl.  I decorated the sides with some Jolee flowers, I used the following Paper Studio product;gem flourish, pearls and white flower.

1,001st Post

I can't believe that my last post was my 1,000th post.
I had to make a sympathy for a friend whose cousin's husband passed away.  I have been watercoloring At Impressions images, using Marvy markers and a paint brush.  The frame dies and the sentiment are My Creative Time.  The papers are Julie Nutting.  The beautiful Primrose ribbon is from the Spring Bundle by DL.ART

PEACOCKS FOR MOTHERS DAY

In March I went to a Heartfelt Creations Class at the Scrapbook Expo. At the class I created 3 cards. I purchased the paisley background stamp and a small peacock. I decided that I would give these to my Sister in Laws for Mothers Day. The first card is the one I created with my new products. The other two were made in class. For the first card I stamped the background image by coloring the stamp with a few shades of blue and green Marvy Markers. Then I filled in with a wet brush.  The peacock was stamped with blue ink then I used Tim Holtz ink and dauber to fill in the white areas. The sentiment is CTMH. I used a My Creative Time Stitched post card die for the frame

DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY WATER CHALLENGE

Hello, it is time for another DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge.  This week Diana asked us to create a project with a water theme.  I decided to make a scrapbook page for my sons album.  I love to use the twine and ribbon together.  I used the Basic Twine in blue to wrap around the frame of the sentiment label.  I used Peach Ribbon from the Spring Bundle to wrap around the photo frame.  Diana has so many pretty colors of ribbon.  She gives my followers 10% off.  Just use the code K34510 at check out.
For this layout I used my Cricut Explore with the Family Album Cartridge.  I changed the sentiment and tore the bottom block to look like a sand dune.  I also added a journaling frame.  The papers are Recollection Chalkboard and Core'dinations.

Baby Shoe

My friend's son and his wife are expecting a baby girl.  I thought I'd make some fun 3D projects.  I found the cutest baby shoe on the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  I used some Echo Park papers and a dimensional chipboard embellishment by K & Company.  I tied the shoe with some beautiful Primrose ribbon from the Spring Bundle #1 by DL.ART.  Did you know that Diana is sponsoring the current Baby Challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut

FAIRY CHALLENGE

Sunny Day Crafting is a new photo inspirational challenge blog.  The photo inspiration for this week is a picture of a fairy. CLICK HERE  to join in on the fun.  Many years ago I bought a clip art book of Fairies and Angels.  It has never been used.  This challenge inspired me to take it out.  For the card base and the butterfly I used Anna Griffin's "Lace Cards and Embellishments".  The sentiments are also from an Anna Griffin set that I purchased on HSN.  The beautiful ribbon is DL.ART Green Hue from the Mermaid's Tale 3rd Edition.

DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY ANYTHING GOES APRIL LINKY CHALLENGE

It's already April-I love seeing all of the spring flowers and green grass.  It is time for the DL.ART Thankful Thursday Anything Goes April Linky Challenge.  Diana has beautiful ribbon that is so easy to work with.  For this project I used vintage-vineyard-winter-edition-Rose,twine-basic-blue.  First I ran a strip of tape along the edge, then I gathered the ribbon on to it.  I finished by tying a twine bow and adhering it to the edge.  Diana generously offers my readers a 10% discount-just use the code K34510 at check out.
The image is Art Impressions Cottage Sets. The main set is the Cottage Set.  It comes with a door and window die.  The inside image is the Make a Wish Set.   I watercolored them using Marvy Markers.  It was a bit tricky lining up the door and window on each layer.  The bluish color is DCWV the patterned paper is Prima Julie Nutting.  I hope you have time to enter the challenge.  Every month I am amazed by the variety of creative entries.
