Stressful week

This has been a difficult week.  On Sunday my daughter had a few friends over.  One of them thought it would be fun to pick me up. He tripped and dropped me on the cement, then landed on top of me.  I had to get xrays.  Luckily nothing is broken just some torn muscles and lots of bruises.  I hope to be back to commenting soon.

TRANQUIL SYMPATHY CARD

A young man who I used to babysit passed away last weekend.  I made this card to send to his parents.  I began by making the base using my explore and Anna Griffin Garden Cards and Embellishments.  Then I cut the bird motif using Annas Elegant Embellishments. The brown part of the bird were on my desk from a different bird I was cutting.  The solid papers are DCWV.  The gold cardstock is Paper Source.  The flowers are Paper Studio.

The inside sentiment is an Anna Griffin Stamp.  I am entering this into the FCCB Anything Goes Challenge.

EMILY IS 26

I made this card for my daughter's 26th birthday.  I followed a great Art Impressions video that transformed a stamp that is a cat on a bench to a flower pot on a bench.  The flower pot was sketched in place of the cat. The background card, sentiment and butterfly are Anna Griffin.  The embellishment is by Paper Studio.  The beautiful bright white ribbon is "Whipped Cream" part of the Creamy dreamy Bundle by DL.ART

Mail Box and Birdhouse Cards

Diana at DL.ART has a new tie died ribbon Strawberry Grape she also has two button collections.  I used a pretty button from the Vintage Button Collection. I began this card by choosing a set of Baroque Frame dies by Anna Griffin.  The center die was pretty small.  I then found and Art Impressions mailbox die that fit in the center medallion.  I watercolored the image using Marvy Markers.  The second layer was cut with an Anna Griffin matt.  Lastly I embossed a piece of Purple Colorbok paper.

For the second card I also used an Anna Griffin Baroque frame, to show case another Art Impression stamp.   The floral paper is and the embossing folder are also Anna Griffin.  I used the beautiful Lavender ribbon in the Spring Bundle #1 by DL.ART

Hello it is time for another challenge over at DL.ART.  Challenge #184 is "Summer Foods"  you can always enter a "Thank You " card instead.   Diana has some awesome beachy colors.  I used RED AND WHITE BASIC TWINE for a fringed awning,  Then I added an ARUBA BLUE Bow  I love this color ribbon.  It is a varigated aqua blue.  Diana does such a great job with her hand dyed ribbons.   Diana offers my readers a 10% discount at her store if you use the code k34510 at check out.
I immediately thought of the snack bars at the beach.  I didn't have small enough stamps of beach food, so I used some images from my PrintMaster program.  The sentiment and surf board dies are by My Creative Time.

A PILE OF DOGS-SLIDER CARD

ART IMPRESSIONS are having a Slider Card Challenge.  Unfortunately it ends in a few hours.  This  idea has been in my head for a few days.  I just had a tough time getting it made.  Art Impressions has a slider die-it is on my list for the upcoming Scrapbook Expo.   I stamped the "Dog Stacker" image with Stayz on Black Ink.  Then I scribbled many shades of brown, orange and grey Marvy Marker on my pallet.  I then used a fine brush to water color the images.  The papers I used are DCWV.   The sentiment is My Creative Time.  The beautiful ribbon is Burnt Leaf from the Fall Bundle by DL.ART.

DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY ANYTHING GOES JULY LINKY CHALLENGE

Welcome to a new Linky Challenge over at DL.ART.  Diana has the most fabulous collections of ribbon.  Check out the variety Here.  For this challenge I changed out a centerpiece I had made for my sons graduation party.  Since I already had clear and blue marbles in the vase, I decided to create a July 4th centerpiece.  I made a cool red and blue fringe to go around the top of the vase.  I used Patriotic Red from the Patriotic Bundle and Royal Blue from the Blues Bundle.  Did you know Diana gives my readers 10% discount-just use the code k34510 at check out.
I used a variety of cuts using my Cricut explore.  The papers are by Colorbok.  I found these fun stickers in my stash.
