WEDDING CARD

Here is a card I made for a bridal shower.  I got some chipboard cutouts by K&Company on clearance at JoAnnes.  I inked the bird with pink and lavender chalk ink.  Then sprayed it with a glimmer mist.  Diana at DL Art is having a wedding card challenge. CLICK HERE to join in the fun

Thank You with a Summer Theme

I made a thank you note for some blog candy that I won.  Included in the package was this cute surfer boy stamp.  I saw that a few blog challenges are having a summer theme.  So I used Create a Critter for the sun and palm tree.   The tile sentiment says "Where the Ocean meets the Sky"  I find scene cards difficult.  I think i got the proportion ok on this one.  I am entering it into a Summer Fun challenge at CCR CLICK HERE.  Die Cutting Divas are also having a Summer fun Challenge CLICK HERE.  And Tuesday Throwdown is having a Tropical Paradise Challenge CLICK HERE

Shaped Anniversary Card

I made this shaped anniversary card for my parents.  I used "Something to Celebrate"  card function.  I photographed the card lying flat.  When I stand it up it leans to one side.  I have to play around with the bottom. Snowman Box

I attatched the inside plastic plate that has a hole in it to the top of the box.  this left an ugly gap so I hid it with a border.

RECYCLING DAY

On the weekends I usually pick out all of the recycling from the kids waste baskets.  My daughter was home for a few days and she cleaned her closet.  There were 6 Apple boxes from various iphones, ipods etc.  I even found 2 pairs of head phones in her trash.  There was also a box that had perfume in it.  Here's what I came up with.

 First I covered the box with paper from DCWV I used Taj Mahal and Natural stacks.  I covered the white inner plate then backed it with dark brown.  I used a circle punch by  Punch Bunch       I cut out a triangle for the top and added a medallion sentiment by Making Memories.  The bird is Shapabilities "Bird Sanctuary"to which I added Stickles.  The flowers are Jolees.  I found Sook Wang tape to work the best.

The second project is the enpty perfume gift box with 3 Apple boxes taped inside to separate my ink pads.
2 great projects that were almost thrown away.  Now I am going to collect Apple boxes to put  Holiday gifts in.  May be i will complete one in time for a Christmas in July challenge.
