Hello. Posting this photo has been a challenge. The colors of the paper are not showing up as bright as they are. I think I need a class in photography. Anyway I made this card for a few challenges. It is a quick card using Cricut Wild Card Cartridge.
MATERIALS
5X7 green premade card-JoAnn Craft Essentials
Decorative paper -K&Company-Brenda Walton Small Wonders boy
Blue and white pearlescent paper Colorbok-Walmart
Cuttlebug with Birthday embossing folder
Paper rose-K&Company
gems-Michaels dollar bin
birthday candle
ATG tape gun
3M dimensional tape
Directions
1.Cut plaid paper 4.5X6.5in , center on card
2. Emboss 4.25X5.75in piece of blue pearl paper with Cuttlebug Birthday folder. Center on plaid paper
3.Cut cupcake(Icon pg61 Wild Card)at 4.5 in.
4.Embellish frosting with gems. Adhere cupcake bottom to card with ATG gun. Apply frosting with dimensional tape. Use ATG gun to attatch candle(sometimes I shave the back of the candle so it is flat) atatch paper rose for flame.

ReplyDeleteI learned through a site to use white as a background, especially helpful for doing a color balance on your editing program. Try that and see if it helps. Your card is very cute!
ReplyDeleteCute card! I love the way you used the little rose as the candle flame!

ReplyDeleteThis looks so cute! Photographing some cards is just harder than it seems it should be. I usually take a bunch of different angles from dead on and then slightly tilted to each side. Sometimes one angle will come out better than another - especially with shiny cards.
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkle on your cupcake!! Thanks for joining us at FCCB:)
