MAG CHALLENGE 36

This weeks challenge at MAG is to use page 59 of Create A Critter.  Please remember, for MAG Challenge you cannot use any other Cricut cartridge or page from another cartridge, only the one specified.  However, you are free to use all the embellishments and other treasure from your stash!! I decided to use the horseshoe and star images.

When I got married my aunt from England gave my flower girl a beautiful good luck horseshoe to carry down the aisle.   I tried to replicate it in a shaped card.  I used my gypsy to weld 2 horshoes to form a card and one star in the middle.  The paper is a very heavily glittered cardstock that I got at JoAnnes. It is called "silvermist"  I set the multi-cut function to 3. I like the way it turned out so much, that I may use it for a holiday decoration.

FORMULA
Cardstock:JoAnne's open stock
Gem Stickers:Jolees
Cricut expression with "Create a Critter" cartridge horseshoe 5.82', star 3" welded with gypsy

GO SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Today I made a card for my friend to give to her daughter's step son for his birthday.  My original idea was to make a card with his Little League Team colors(red, white and blue)  But he is a huge Giants fan.  At first my card looked very boring, then I added alot of embellishments.  Once again I used my Cuttlebug "birthday" embossing plate.

HMMM I'm Stumped

Does anyone know how to make a shaped card if there is more that one cut on an image.  I just spent an hour trying to weld two jars together to make a shaped card.  The only thing I can think of is that there are 3 images on the cut  , an apple, and 2 different jars.  I hid the cuts I didn't want, then flipped the images but couldn't figure it out.  At one point I think I got it welded but couldn't fit it on my mat.  I think it was allowing for the hidden cuts. In the end I put the main image at the edge of my card and cut around it with scissors-a 30 second job.  Hopefully one of my Gypsy Expert Blogger friends will have a solution.  The card turned out great.  As soon as I charge my camera I will post it  Thank you in advance
