Butterfly Birthday Card

I am really enjoying exploring my newest cartridge "Floral Embellished.  Each cut has a lot of layers.  It is easier with a 2" or larger cut.  For this butterfly there was supposed to be a layer on top of the lavender, but it tore when I took it off my new mat.  So no worries, I just embossed the lavender layer and kept on going. Then the antennae fell off on one side, so I used wire.  What I thought was going to be a disaster, turned out pretty good

Pre-made card(Jo-Ann Essentials) Embossed with Cuttlebug and Princess folder
Butterfly-2.5" Florals Embellished. Lavender layer embossed with Textile folder
All paper, border and tag K&Company

Floating Cupcake Card

For this card I followed a great video by Kimberly at My Craft Spot.  http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-birthday-window-card-floating.html  Her video is so clear and easy to follow.  I only added one cupcake to my window because I was using some stickers and they were bigger than I thought.  I sandwiched the stickers between cardstock and trimmed around it.

QUICK CRICUTLESS GIFT CARD HOLDER

Over the last few months I have accumulated quite a few K&Company "Sweet N"et Nectar" Pads and border pads.  This card was made with the "Sweet Nectar Die-Cut Cardmaking Pad" and Co=ordinating "Sweet Nectar Specialty Punch-out Pad"  I scored the card 1.5" up from the straighe edge. then folded in half to make card.  Tape 1.5" edges to form pocket.  To front of card I added the ruller border, flower and corners from the Specialty pad.  In the middle of the flower I put a "K & Co flower brad" I attatched some pink ribbon using my ATG tape gun.  I used 3M dimensional tape to pop up embellishments.  I haven't added a sentiment because I don't know if it is for a birthday or a teacher-thank you card.

Had to work a long physical day so didn;t get much creating done on NSD(My favorite holiday)

2 New Favorites

I am really liking the "word" feature on the Pagoda cartridge.  This is the 2nd mothers day card I have made.  There are lots of great card cuts with a word on the bottom.  Some include-friend, daughter, happiness and love to name a few.  If you are like me you will barely be able to see the image in the handbook, unless you bring out the strong reading glasses.  Now my second new favorite is the "Lemon Flower Stack" and matching plain Matstack from DCWV.  I don't usually use a lot of yellow and green in my projects.  I like the color combos in this pack so much that I am thinking of redecorating my studio.  I love this cut from "A Child's Year"  My I have 2 girls and a boy.  My youngest daughter always wore a funny little ponny tail on top of her head and my oldest daughter had her hair like the middle child.  My mom is going to love this card  Also in my family there were three of us. Me, my brother and sister.  Sadly, my sister passed away 8 years ago.  I know this will remind my mom of when we were little
FORMULA
All paper used is from DCWV
Card-"Pagoda" Kanji word feature at 8"
Children-"A Child's Year" 2.75"
Green background-"Storybook"4.5" trim off bottom to fit to card

Adhesive-ATG and Recollections Pop Dots

I searched to see if there was another challenge using a Mothers Day card.  I already submitted one card to FCCB.  So I am entering this one into Celebrate the Occasion celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com
