HAPPY TAILS TO YOU

Good Morning.  Today I have a card for you that I made for the current Art Impressions Challenge-Dots and Stripes.   I used the Dog Stackers stamp set and the crate from the hRustic Container set.  I began by inking up the outer edges of the container stamp and stamped it upside down a few times until the stack was hight enough for the sentiment to fit.  Then I added the stamp and water colored the crates using Marvy Markers. I stamped the main image onto of the crates, then watercolored it.  I cut out the colored image and adhered it to some dotted paper by DCWV .  The dark brown crinkle ribbon is Espresso from the Coffee House bundle 2 over at the DL.ART Shop.
I am thinking of adding little graduation caps to some of the dogs.  I thought it would be fun for an 8th grader who has promotion coming up. What do you think?

MOTHERS DAY GIFT BAGS

Hello, I hope everyone had a fun Mothers Day.  We spent Saturday with my side of the family.  I had a relative visiting from England. We went to a brewery then came her for dinner.  Sunday we went to brunch with my husbands family.  We were going to pick up my son from his dorm, however he slept through brunch .  We met him for coffee on the way home.  I gave my sister in laws these cute coffee mugs which I packaged in brown paper lunch bags that I decorated with a MCT die.  The beautiful ribbon is Lavender from the Spring Bundle by DL.ART.

FCCB MOTHERS DAY 2ND ENTRY

Yesterday I posted a card that one of the boys I watch designed for his mother.  His younger brother had a harder time coming up with a concept.  He finally decided on tea.  His mom loves Chai and she makes the best tea ever.  For this project I used the Cricut cartridge "Love You A Latte"  The papers are DCWV "Taj Mahal" and the Denim Stack.  I like the contrast of the shiny papers with the denim.  I am entering this into the FCCB BLOG HOP AND MOTHERS DAY CHALLENGE

GLASSES FOR MOTHERS DAY

I made this card for one of the boys I babysit to give to his mom.  He came up with the idea.  His mom loves fashionable sunglasses.  Fantabulous Cricut are having a Mothers Day Challenge and Blog Hop.  I began the card by cutting the sunglasses with my Cricut using Forever Young.  The sentiment is from the Florals Embellished cartridge.  The sun is an foil embellishment that I got a long time ago at a calligraphy store in Berkeley.

OH WELL-WHAT THE HECK

I made this one layer card for the ART IMPRESSION "ONE LAYER LADY" CHALLENGE.  It took me several tries to get the perspective right.  Then I spent a ton of time coloring it and shading and re-shading.  I had it on my kitchen counter ready to photograph, my friend accidentally spilled some water on it.  It is very warped.  But what the heck its a beach card.  I decided to enter it into the challenge anyway.  I used the Beach Babe stamp set and the beach house and sentiment are from  Beach Tri-Fold set.  A day at the beach with a drink sounds so good.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACY

For the past few years I have been making custom cards for my friends step grand daughter.  This year Macy is turning 19.  She has a job in a candy store.  I began the card by cutting the girl using the Teen Scene Cricut Cartridge. I searched through my pads looking for candy paper.  I found this adorable gummy bear paper in Snack Time by DCWV.
