LAYERED HALLOWEEN CARDS

I have been wanting to try some of the layered Cricut Halloween cards.  I kept putting it off because of all of the layers.  The hardest thing was picking the papers.  One of them has 4 shades of grey.  The solid papers are are Colorbok, the glitter cardstock is DCWV.  I added a Sooty Pumpkin bow from the   DL.ART Halloween Bundle.

Happy B-Day Lily

 Good morning today I have a birthday card that I made for my niece Lily .   I don’t see Lily very much because she goes to college in Southern California .  However this weekend her soccer team played close by.  It was so fun to see her in action and to be able to handle give her birthday card.
 I began with a Paper Source card base. It is a 5.5” square with an inside pocket. I cut the fan using an AG die.  The papers and sentiment are also AG.  I added Pink Champagne crinkle ribbon and a Vintage button from the DL.ART Store.

WEDDING GIFT PHOTO CORAL

My friend's son is getting married in a few weeks.  They are having a very smal wedding and they requested money towards their honeymoon in liue of traditional gifts.  On the website The Knot there were several Honeymoon activities you could contribute to.  I decided to create frames for some of the activities and I added an envelope with cash in it behind.  All of the frames and images are from Cricut Design Space.

Stella is visiting from London

My cousin Bridget and her daughter Stella came from London to celebrate Stella's 14th Birthday.  We had so much fun together.  I grew up in Bristol, England, moved to America when I was 10.  I didn't have andy cousins close by.  The last time I saw bridget was 16 years ago.  We have such a great connection.  I am planning a trip to London in the next year or two.  We went to Carmel for the day.  Stella loves to shop, the outlets were the perfect place for birthday shopping.

It has been a while since I posted anything.  I am finding it dificult to share a laptop with my husband.  Hopefully that situation will be remedied soon.  I just received Ana Griffins Bohemian Dies and Paisley papers.  They are so much fun to play with .  I also used the Tassle die set.

UNICORN CAKE TOPPER

My friend went to the bakery to get a small unicorn themed cake for her 3 year old granddaughter's birthday.  It was very expensive.  So I made her this cake topper using Cricut Access in Design Space.  It turned out so darn cute

My Grand niece Sophie celebrated her first birthday this weekend.  The theme of the party was Mermaids.  She had so much fun carrying a giant seahorse balloon around.   I decided to capture the moment in a scrapbook page.  I began with a sheet of Echo Park "Lets Be Mermaids" cardstock.  I cut the frame and mermaid in Cricut Design Space.  Then I added a big Mint Julep and Berry Sorbet bow.

I began my card by making a black 5X7 base.  Then I added an Anna Griffin Tassel and Finge Die Set-I used the rug and canopy dies.  Then I added a poodle and and sentiment from the AG Canine stamp and die set. I threaded DL.ART Midnight Crinkle Ribbon thru 2 of the holes in the rug.  Then I tied a bow in the corner.

DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #233-Baby

Good morning.  It s time for  a new challenge over at DL.ART- I am so excited the theme is "Baby".  Of course you can always substitute a Thank You card.  A lot of my friends are becoming grandparents.  I made this card for my friends-her son and his wife are expecting a boy.  Have you checked out all of the fun buttons and Crinkle ribbon in the DL.ART store ?  I love the buttons and the Baby Flair buttons are perfect for this challenge.  The Baby Bundle has Baby Pink, Baby Blue and Sweet dreams. I began by cutting the overalls on my cricut.  I then covered a 5X7 card base with yellow Embellish card stock and some We R Memory Makers polka dot paper  I added a strip of Sweet Dreams crinkle ribbon.  Then I made a rosette wth Baby Blue Crinkle Ribbon.  I added a tassle of Yellow and White Basic Twine.  Then I added The "boy" button from Baby Flair Buttons.

A LITTLE DIRT DON'T HURT

My Brother in Law, Norm, is a fabulous gardener.  I made this card for his birthday.  I am also entering this into the Art Impressions Challenge 236- Masculine Cards.  All of the stamps and the sentiment are from the His and Hers Gardeners set.  I began by stamping the guy, then I covered him with a Post It mask.  Then I stamped the lady behind him.  The images were water colored with Marvy Markers.  I fussy cut all of the images.  The inspiration for the step style card came from AI DT member Renee.  The designer papers are Bella Blvd-Barnyard

Art Impressions are having A Masculine card challenge.  I used the Old Goat Set.  I love the images and the funny sentiments.  I stamped the image using Tim Holtz Archival ink.  The image is watercolored with Marvy pens.  The suit fabric like papers are Graphics 45.

Every Saturday for the past 25 years I have been meeting a group of women for coffee.  We have been through a lot of sad and happy times together.  My friend Elaine and her husband John are celebrating 50 years of marriage.  Her children threw a fantastic party.  I made this special card for them.

I began by embossing some AG metallic gold card stock.  Then I added a band of DL.ART Whipped Cream crinkle ribbon from the Creamy Dreamy Bundle .  This bundle is perfect for weddings and anniversarys.  I cut 2 medallions using an Anna Griffin Cricut cartridge.  I popped them up with foam tape.  Then I added the 50th cut.

This card is for a friend whose daughter just graduated high school.  She is an amazing gymnast who received a scholarship to Oregon State.  Their mascot is a Beaver.  I created the design in Cricut Design Space.  Legs were added to the log to make it look like a balance beam.

SIAMESE CAT ON VINTAGE RED,WHITE AND BLUE SWING

Art Impressions are having a Patriotic Color Challenge.  Recently bonnie posted this tutorial on You Tube Bench Swing and Cat  The cat is a Siamese-I knew I wanted to make this for my sister in law.  So I changed the colors to red, white and blue.  I didn't have all of the same stamps that Bonnie used.  So improvised.  The bench is from WC Series 7 set 2.  The kitty is already on the bench.  Other sets used: foliage-set-2,branches-set/,wooden-chair-mini-set. I used the following Marvy Markers-Pine Green, English Red, Sepia, Prussian Blue and Steel Blue

BIRTHDAY CARD FOR TRICIA IN THE NETHERLANDS

A family friend is living in the Netherlands.  She was visiting over the weekend.  I made this money pocket card for her.  I amazed at all of the fun cut in Cricut Design Space.  I searched "Dutch" and had a lot of images to chose from.

The sparkly border is Paper Studio.

Inside-the shoe is a pocket to hide some money in.  The sentiment is an Anna Griffin die.

ANDERSONS"S FIRST BIRTHDAY

I made this card for my grand nephew Anderson.  Anderson was born with a few disabilities.  This is one tough baby.

Hello June is a busy month full of graduations, Fathers Day and Weddings. The theme for the DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY CHALLENGE #230 is Weddings.  You can always substitute a Thank You card. My friend's daughter is graduating next week.  I made a champagne glass money holder-Cricut Access and a box card using the Anna Griffin Window box card and a graduation image that I flattened and print and cut.  I used Black and White Basic Twine on the cap.  I tied a bow around the glass an added a bow to the card using Black Crinkle Ribbon from Build Your Own Bundle and Pure Love Crinkle Ribbon from the Valentine Bundle.

PURPLE AND PINK DOG BOX CARD

Hello.  It has been a while since I have entered any challenges.  This year has been crazy so far-2 breakins and 4 minor car accidents.  It seems as if every time my phone rings there is some kid of catastrophe.  This week has been calm.  So I decided to enter a few challenges.  Die cuttin Divas are having a "Favorite Color Combination" Challenge.  My favorite color for cards is pink and purple.  My favorite colors for clothes are black and mustard.  Fantabulous Cricut are having a "3 Dimensional" Challenge and Cut it Up Challenges are having a "Cat or Dog" Challenge..  I love to make dog projects-they are my favorite
My new favorite feature of Cricut Design Space is Print and Cut.  Recently I got the new Anna Griffin "Window Box Card" digital image set.  I used the base and the sign.  The puppies are from the "Pet Shop" cartridge.  I flattened all of the dog images and then print and cut them.  Then I played around with the images to fit them into the box.  The pink paper is Doodlebug and the pink and purple paper is Prima

ACCESSORIZE

Happy Friday.  Today I am sharing my second entry for the Art Impressions "Playing Dress Up" Challenge.  For my first entry I interpreted dress up to mean dressing in a costume.  For this challenge Dressing up mean getting fancy to go out on the town, I used the Got Style set.  The image is water colored with a wet brush and Marvy Markers.  The papers are Coco Style by Penny Black.

RATHER BE FUN THAN DIGNIFIED

Art Impressions are having a Lets Play Dressup Challenge.  What I love about AI stamp sets is that you can mix and match them.  When I think of dressing up, I think of costumes.  I remembered I had a fun Halloween set called  Howl-oween.  I wanted to make a birthday card. The balloons are from the Birthday Wishes set.  The sentiment is from the Dare to be Fabulous set.

Hello.  It is time for a new DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge.  This time the theme is "birthday"  of course you can always substitute a Thank You card.  There are loads of birthdays in my family in May and June.  I have been trying to use color combinations that are out of my comfort zone.  For this challenge I began by picking a green and yellow ribbons from the "The Rainbow Bundle".  I love this collection of bright and fun colors-red, orange, blue, green, yellow and violet.

Art Impressions are having a “Winged Things” Challenge .  I needed a gift bag for a teenaged boy-the “His and Hers Flying High” set is perfect. I began by stamping the images on watercolor paper with Stayz On ink. Then I colored in the images with a wet brush and Marvy Markers. The tag die is MCT.

Happy May 1st.  There are some fun celebrations this month.
