I'LL TEXT YOU ENTRY#2

Here is my second entry into the ART IMPRESSIONS "I'LL TEXT YOU" challenge.  I ran into Kendra from AI at the Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo.  We got to talking, I told her I was stuck on the text challenge.  She gave me the idea of putting some text into a watercolored wreath.  I watched her tutorial on You Tube. Click Here  Here is what I came up with-a wedding card.  I only used 2 stamps-the fern from theWater Color Foilage set 1and the little heart flowers from Watercolor Flowers Set 2.  The sentiment is from Steeple Try Fold set.

NATIONAL MUTT DAY

I made this card for National Mutt Day.  I have three dogs-a purebred Standard Poodle, a Shih Tzu nd a mutt that we rescued.  Scruffie, my adopted pet, has had the least medical problems and is so loving.
I love the Heartfelt Creations "Paw Fect Pooches Set. I colored the image with Marvy Markers.  The sentiment is from a punch out sheet that I have had for ever.  The twine is DL.ART Basic Twine.  The papers are DCWV.  If you are considering getting a dog check with your local adoption places.  Or if you have a specific breed in mind, there is probably a rescue society.  My 88 year old father just adopted a poodle from a rescue society.  Paris is a 6 year old miniature poodle who lived with a lady who had to go into a convalescent hospital that didn't allow dogs.  My dad takes Paris for weekly visits to an Alzhiemers home.

ART IMPRESSIONS "I'LL TEXT YOU" CHALLENGE

Art Impressions are having an "I'll Text You" Challenge.  I had a hard time with this .  Finally I decided to use a combination of 2 sets-Hot Java Mama and Spring Chicken.  I stamped the background using the coffee beans and cup from the "Hot Java Mama" set.  Then I stamped the sentiments and cut them out  with a speech bubble die set by MCT.  For the inside of the card, I stamped the Chicken on watercolor paper  with Stayz On ink, then watercolored it using Marvy Markers.

BEAUTY THEMED BIRTHDAY BOX CARD

Hello.  I know I haven;' been around much lately.  I came back from Mexico with some sort of flu.  I am finally feeling back to normal-almost.  Last week was my daughters birthday.  She loves make-up.  For this box card I started by cutting the base on my Cricut using the Lori Whitlock All Occasion Box Card cartridge.  I use the sunflower one.  I cut the flowers off of the inside panel.  Then I cut the lipstick and nail polish using Forever Young.  Other cuts:  Hair Dryer-Home Organization; Mirror-Sentimentals; Brush-Kate's ABC's;  The balloons and banner are My Creative time.  The papers are scraps.

ART IMPRESSIONS BLING,GLITTER OR GLOSSY

Hello.  Sorry I haven't been by your blogs lately.  We spent a week in Cancun.  Lots of fun and sun.  I am still trying to recover from a little Montezuma's Revenge.  ART IMPRESSIONS are having a Bling, Glitter or Glossy Challenge.  I had made this card before I left on my trip, thinking that I would post it there.  Well that didn't happen the deadline is tomorrow.

I began by stamping Steeple Try Fold images as per the included instructions.  Then I colored the image with a wet brush and Marvy Markers.  I added some wink Of Stella and some Stickles to the pillow, church and flowers.  I cut around the images and mounted them onto some sparkly silver pearl paper by Paper Source.  I tied the card together using Silvery Hue Sea crinkle ribbon and a sparkly button from the DL.ART Store.
